Look at me updating before the week is out!
Nothing too exciting happened over the past weekend, except Dad falling in love with riding lawn mowers! He's on the hunt now to find one for our yard. I can't wait to have a yard to play with my doggies in! Oh, we also went garage sale-ing and got some fun stuff for me! More clothes. Mum needs to take stock on what she's already gotten to make sure she has enough of all the sizes to start with.
Mum has been starting to feel me move a lot lower than in the past. Here's hoping that I've spun around and am actually head-down like Mum keeps telling me I'm supposed to be. She's even trying to shine a flashlight below her belly button to coax me down there! The things pregnant women will do to avoid c-sections!
Last night was the last pre-natal class at the Stratford Hospital. Dad was working afternoons, so Mum got Nanny to come with us. Nanny was glad to see where she will be sitting, waiting anxiously for my arrival. We learned about how Mum should take care of herself after I'm born, and the different kinds of skin conditions I may have, which are normal! There were also lessons on bathing, taking care of the umbilical stump and dirty/wet diapers. The longest lesson was on breast feeding. I know Mum's really really hoping that it comes easy for her. She's got to relax and let me do the work! She's putting on a good "open-minded" show to everyone that asks or talks about it, but I know my Mum. She will feel anxiety to get it right the first time.
Only 18 more working days now until Mum's done at work. That's not a lot of time, and there are a lot of papers for her to write before then, so I'd better let her have the computer back.
