Week 30!

Here we are in week 30. Can't believe there's only 10 weeks to go! I've had a pretty busy week. For the long weekend, not too much happened. Mum and Dad hung out with friends and did some garage sale shopping (bought some stuff for me!). Dad had a DJ gig in St. Thomas Saturday night, so Mum and I watched some movies, which was relaxing.

Mum hasn't been sleeping well lately. I must be sitting on a nerve or pushing against her back because most of the pain is at night in her hips and lower back.

Tuesday morning, Mum went to do the follow up blood glucose tolerence test. It was really boring, and a really long day! Had to fast for 10 hours, then have some blood taken. Drink some orange McD's tasting stuff, wait and hour and have blood taken again. Had to have blood taken after a second hour's wait. Mum had to lie down in between the second and third blood draws because she was going to pass out! I really just wanted a nap! Luckily, the blood results came in, and we don't have diabetes.

Went to the midwife today. Saw our new midwife, Kate. She seems kind, has a nice English accent. Hard for her to know a lot of the stuff that's going on in Ontario because she just moved here from New Brunswick. I'm doing ok, measuring right and had a good heart beat. But...I'm still sitting with my head up. Mum was hoping I'd have flipped by now. By the time we go back to see Kate, I am supposed to be head down, or Mum will have to start doing things to try to get me to flip over.

The other thing Kate talked to Mum about was her sugar levels. Although her blood results came back as not having diabetes, it was while fasting. And when she hasnt' been fasting, there is too much sugar showing up on the tests. I really need to keep kicking to remind Mum about her healthy eating, and maybe she should start buying sugar-free icecream!

Dad's working midnight shift this week, which is nice because Mum and I have the bed to ourselves. These days, there are so many pillows supporting Mum's belly that's there's not not a whole lotta room for Dad anyway.
